Terms of Service

1. Service Scope & Operating Boundaries

• Mobile On-Site Model: ByJordonCho provides mobile, on-site iPhone battery replacement services.
• Coverage Area: Service is strictly limited to Bandar Sunway, Bukit Jalil, and pre-approved neighboring areas within Selangor / Kuala Lumpur.
• Mobile Vehicle Workspace: All diagnostic and replacement work is performed inside our dedicated, climate-controlled mobile workstation (vehicle). The Customer consents to handing over the device to the technician for servicing inside the vehicle for the duration of the repair.

2. Zero-Deposit Booking & Attendance Rules

• RM0 Booking Fee: We do not charge an upfront booking deposit. Service slots are reserved on mutual trust.
• 2-Hour Cut-Off & Departure Confirmation: Same-day and advance bookings require confirmation at least two (2) hours prior to the agreed slot. The technician will request a final text or live location confirmation before departing. If no response is received, the technician will not deploy, and the slot will be released.
• Cancellations & Rescheduling: If you need to adjust your time, you must notify us at least one (1) hour prior to the appointment.
• No-Show Policy: Unnotified no-shows will result in the customer being blacklisted from future on-site bookings.

3. Customer Privacy, Data & Video Recording Framework (PDPA Compliance)

• No Passcode Requirement: We do not request, collect, or require your device passcode, Face ID, Apple ID, or any personal credentials. Customers must keep their devices locked.
• Continuous Overhead Video Recording: To ensure complete transparency, protect device integrity, and eliminate handling disputes, every replacement procedure is continuously recorded via an overhead camera inside the mobile workstation.
• PDPA Compliance: In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), all recorded video logs are strictly retained for internal quality assurance, dispute verification, and liability protection. Footage will never be publicly published or shared with third parties without express written consent, unless mandated by Malaysian law enforcement.
• Data Backup Responsibility: Battery replacement is a hardware-level service that does not intentionally modify device storage. However, hardware servicing carries inherent electrical risks. You are solely responsible for creating a complete backup (iCloud/Mac/PC) prior to handover. ByJordonCho assumes zero liability for any data loss.

4. Technical Standards & “No Unknown Part” Guarantee

• Component Specification: Replacements use proprietary ByJordonCho certified high-grade lithium-ion cells engineered to meet or exceed OEM electrical specifications. ByJordonCho is an independent repair provider and is not affiliated with Apple Inc.

5. Pre-Service Diagnostic & Refusal Rights

Prior to service commencement, an external physical assessment is performed. We reserve the right to decline service immediately if the device displays:

• Pre-existing severe frame bending or enclosure warping that prevents safe battery extraction;
• Active liquid intrusion or internal motherboard corrosion;
• Hazardous thermal swelling / ruptured battery cells;
• Prior third-party repairs that stripped internal screws, severed internal antennas, or damaged the logic board.

6. One (1) Year Limited Warranty

Every battery replacement includes a 1-Year (365 Days) Limited Warranty starting from the service completion date.

• What is Covered:
  • Premature battery cell capacity degradation under normal usage;
  • Sudden power drops, erratic percentage jumps, or sudden reboots caused by battery failure;
  • BMS board hardware failure directly related to the replaced unit.
• What Voids the Warranty (Exclusions):
  • Accidental Physical Damage: Cracked front screen, shattered rear glass, or chassis impact damage sustained after handover;
  • Liquid Intrusion: Any water or liquid contact occurring post-service;
  • Third-Party Tampering: Opening, inspecting, or servicing the device through any other technician or repair shop during the 1-year window;
  • Power Surge / Misuse: Motherboard short-circuits resulting from faulty third-party charging adapters, uncertified car chargers, or external power surges.

7. Pricing & On-The-Spot Settlement

• All-Inclusive Pricing: Quoted prices (RM 200 – RM 260 depending on model) include the ByJordonCho battery, calibration, mobile call-out, and labor. There are no hidden call-out fees within designated zones.
• Payment Terms: Full payment is due on the spot immediately after the device is powered on, tested, and handed back to the customer. Accepted methods: DuitNow QR, instant bank transfer, and cash.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Malaysia):

• ByJordonCho’s total cumulative liability for any proven direct physical damage arising from the service shall strictly not exceed the fair market repair/replacement cost of the specific damaged part, or the total service fee paid by the customer, whichever is lower.
• ByJordonCho is not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential losses, including lost profits, loss of device access time, or business interruption.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any legal action or dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia.
